At CompCare, we are big on family. It is vital for us as a scheme to ensure that we have the best benefits available for young families, especially mom’s-to-be and children; they are, after all, our future.

CompCare is introducing no less than six new benefits for moms-to-be and newborns. These include:

  • The funding of a breast pump from savings on all options with a savings account.
  • A newborn hearing screening benefit, as well as a newborn congenital hypothyroidism benefit.
  • The next new benefit is also great for families with a new baby, as it provides three additional pediatric consultations.
  • Paed IQ on all options for families with young children. This telephonic advisory service is available 24/7 for any health-related child-care issues. Paed-IQ offers expert advice from registered nurses, offering much-needed peace of mind in those stressful moments and covering topics such as home care, clinic referral, primary care referral, GP referral and after-hours care.
  • Basic dentistry and GP visits for children under 6 years of age.

These benefits are all paid from risk and will not impact day-to-day benefits, ensuring that we give back more to our members. These new benefits are available on all options, excluding the NetworX option.

At CompCare, we believe prevention is better than cure. That is why we offer exceptional preventative care benefits to help our members care for themselves. These benefits are covered from risk and will not impact day-to-day benefits.

The new preventative care benefit introduced is a lipogram test for adults from the age of 20 years on all options except NetworX.

The Overall Annual Limit on the NetworX option will also be increased. From 2023 the NetworX option will offer an unlimited Overall Annual Limit. In addition, physiotherapy will be funded from the Annual Flexi Benefit on this option.

Over and above the enhancements, the benefit limits will be increased by 5.7% for 2023.

Always remember that this only relates to elective procedures. Members will still have access to the closest, appropriate hospital for any emergency.

The Scheme truly offers a fantastic portfolio of benefit options, with the NetworX, SelfNet and UniSave options being the best sellers in terms of benefits and contributions – offering real value to members. Pinnacle is the flagship and offers exceptionally rich and comprehensive benefits.

UNISAVE

UniSave provides comprehensive, unlimited hospital cover in any private hospital and a flexible savings account that can be used for day-to-day healthcare requirements at the member’s discretion. UniSave members can use their 25% savings as and when they wish to, with no imposed limit restrictions.
